.Background. Allen Walker is a young Exorcist of the Black Order, an organization that fights against beings called Akuma and their creator, the Millennium Earl. Using pieces of a mysterious substance known as Innocence which are scattered across the globe, those chosen by God to be Exorcists face overwhelming odds as they work to find the rest of the Innocence pieces, free the souls of Akuma, and prevent the Earl from destroying the world. Born with a left arm deformed by a parasite-type Innocence, and possessing a cursed left eye with the ability to see the souls of Akuma, Allen has long been destined to protect the world. As an Exorcist Allen was thrust onto the losing side of a war, but he continues to remain cheerful throughout it all. He made a promise long ago to keep on walking, no matter what happened, and it's one he intends to keep. .Personality. At his core Allen is an extremely sweet and friendly boy, though his true feelings are slightly more complicated than the face he puts on for others. He is devoted to helping others, wanting to do everything he can to protect both the people he cares about and strangers he's never met. Allen sees the best in everyone, unwilling to think of others as enemies until they have already taken advantage of him, but he will eventually fight back when wronged. He has stated that his left hand is for the Akuma, and his right hand is for the humans — and with both, he is committed to stopping the Earl and freeing lost souls.
